Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

In short: Officially Silly has no accounts and asks for no names or e-mails. Your choices stay on your phone. To improve the app we collect anonymous usage events (like “an activity was saved”), linked only to a random ID. We don't show ads and we don't sell data.

Who we are

Officially Silly is operated by Clues, s.r.o., Na Folimance 2155/15, Vinohrady, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 22508996, VAT ID CZ22508996, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 417618 (“we”). For anything about privacy, write to jendakoran+os@gmail.com.

Who the app is for

Officially Silly is an app for parents and other adults who play with children aged 3–13. The app is used by the adult. We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, any information from or about children, other than the age you choose so that we can suggest suitable activities. The exact age stays on your phone; only the age group (3–5, 6–9 or 10–13) is ever sent to us.

What stays on your phone

The following is stored only on your device and is not sent to us: the activities you saved, skipped or rejected, the activities you marked as tried, your Inside/Outside filter and other settings. Deleting the app (or “Reset all data” in Settings) deletes it.

What we collect: anonymous usage events

When you use the app, it sends short usage events, for example: the app was opened, a card was saved or skipped, an activity was opened, you answered “Did you try it?”, or you tapped “I want this” on the Premium teaser. Each event contains:

We use these events only to understand which activities work and to improve the app. We process them on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The events are processed by our analytics provider PostHog on servers in the European Union. We keep usage data only as long as it helps us improve the app, and at most 24 months.

Content delivery

Activity texts and pictures are downloaded from our content service, Sanity. As with any internet connection, the service technically receives your device's IP address to deliver the content. We do not use it to identify you.

If you write to us

If you send us feedback or an e-mail, we receive your e-mail address and your message. The feedback e-mail prepared by the app also includes your child's age group, your platform and a short part of the random app identifier, so we can understand your feedback in context. We use this only to reply and to improve the app, and we delete it on request.

What we don't do

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Czech Republic: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz). Because usage data is anonymous, we can only find data linked to your app if you send us the app identifier shown in a feedback e-mail. The simplest way to stop all collection is to delete the app.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Bigger changes, such as adding accounts or payments, will be announced in the app.
